PlayStation 4 v2.51 System Update Out Now, Brings Stability Improvements

Following last month's 'Yukimura' PlayStation 4 (PS4) update, also known as firmware 2.50, comes PS4 firmware 2.51. It's available for download for PS4 owners now.
Compared to last month's system software update that allowed for a wealth of functionality for Sony's console, such as game data backup and the much anticipated suspend/resume mode, system update 2.51 has a surprisingly threadbare changelog.
"System software stability during use of some features has been improved. Operation quality during use of some applications has been improved," reads the patch notes for the update.
Stability updates to the PS4 are nothing new. In fact, it's reached a point where the constant updates to keep the console stable have become meme-worthy.
Nonetheless, on the games front, there seems to be renewed focus from Sony. The company has been wooing indie developers such as Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell and a host of others, to pick up the slack where its AAA fare has been lacking. At the same time, there's a God of War 3 remaster in the works and if the rumours are correct, an Uncharted Trilogy remaster as well.
While it seems sparse, with E3 just a couple of months away, it will be interesting to see what else Sony has in store for us. Hopefully it would be more games than stability updates
.
