Next Need For Speed, Mirror's Edge Launch Windows Revealed

It's been almost a decade since 2008's first-person parkour game Mirror's Edge. Made by DICE, the studio behind the seminal Battlefield series, a sequel was teased at last E3. Now, we have a release window.
The sequel to Mirror's Edge is due early 2016 for consoles and PC as discovered in publisher Electronic Arts' quarterly financial presentation. You can expect it between January 1 and March 31 next year. The first game received a lukewarm critical response but developed a cult following among gamers over the years.
Also on the horizon is a new Need For Speed game. And unlike waiting till next year, the latest in the popular racing series is expect in the holiday season this year, around the same window as the recently announced Star Wars Battlefront.
The Need For Speed series did not see a new game last year. Rather, the last time it graced consoles was in 2013. It's being helmed by Swedish studio, Ghost Games with a fair number of its staff being ex-Criterion, the studio behind the Burnout series and 2010's Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit among others. It will ship with a companion mobile game. This might be the recently announced Need For Speed: No Limits, made by Real Racing 3 creators, Firemonkey, which is currently available in test markets only.
With E3 around the corner, we're sure to be treated to more information on these two titles what with publisher Electronic Arts being a regular feature at the expo
