Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Release Date Revealed

Ubisoft seems to be on a roll this week. Not only were we treated to a release date to the next installment in the company's flagship franchise, Assassin's Creed, but we also had its CEO Yves Guillemot voice the firm's intentions on virtual reality. Now, the company has announced a release date for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.
It's the latest in the tactical shooter series that's been in hibernation since Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. There was an iOS game in 2011 called Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard, but that was based on the 1998 original.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will be available worldwide on October 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It's being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and has you in situations inspired by real world counter-terrorism missions. You'll engage in sieges, a gameplay mode that has terrorists transforming their environments into modern strongholds while Rainbow Six teams lead the assault to breach their position.
While there is some form of single-player that Ubisoft has committed to, it will be interesting to see if it will be in the same vein as Evolve and Titanfall - games which featured token single-player offerings that were barebones and not too dissimilar to their multiplayer modes, or Call of Duty which is a fully fledged singleplayer spectacle in itself. It's most likely to be the former.
This isn't all, the company also announced collector's editions for the game featuring tactical guides, season passes, and steel books for pre-orders. There's no confirmation as to what version India will get aside from the standard editions which on pre-ordering give you multiplayer beta access
